My future room!

I'm going to start posting things that I like to go in my first ever house!! woo hoo! 

This coming up fall I'm going to be living in a house with the wonderful girls Brennan and Hannah Jane off of Bloomfield. (If anyone from UGA or Athens knows where I'm talking about then you know how cool of a street it is.)

Soooo I need to start looking for amazing things I can put in my room and the rest of the house. To start with I'm loving all the wonderful colors in this picture. 

Especially the purple head board. Duh, everyone knows my favorite color is purple.

My Obsession

I have a slight problem. I love to online shop.

Confessions of an Online Shopaholic.

My new favorite store online is Topshop and this is becoming a huge problem.

My dad got really upset with me because I have been abusing the emergency credit card- understandable. And I really am working on trying to stop the continuous swipe of the card, but oh my geeze if you saw these gorgeous dresses and tops. I'm drooling.

Someone stop me.

Shoe Fetish?

A peak into Khloe Kardashian's closet. No big deal. 

Just a gazillion shoes that I'm currently drooling over. 

I myself have a shoe fetish, my roommate can account for it, but I tend to wear the same pair of shoes over and over again until not even super glue can hold them together. Where as Khloe Kardashian's collection probably have been wore once each- not saying I'm not jealous. 

I think my one problem with this many shoes is making the decision of which one to wear that day. Oh, the problems in life. 

I also thought this dress was gorgeous, also Khloe's.

Oh happy day

Today is not one of my best days. I'm a little down. A little blue.

So that's when I turn to my pictures I took in San Francisco, specifically these sunflowers. They are my favorite. I know they are not the most exotic, colorful or sweetest smell, but they can do one thing that most others can't.

They grow.

Even in the most extreme weather, they'll shoot up like weeds. That's why they're beautiful to me. No matter what you throw at them, they'll continue to grow.

I'm hoping that my letters from Italy will look like this.


Now, all I need is a pen pal.

Sunflowers.

So happy. So bright. So friendly. 

That's why they are my favorite. If I could have a fresh bouquet of these in my room every day then no problem could touch me. The bundle would be a happy "Welcome home!" as I open my door from a long day. I would smile, sit down and bask in their sunshine.

Stressing

I've got a lot on my mind right now, and I am in the process of currently freaking out. I have a huge feature story for my Journalism class that is due on Thursday and have I started it... of course not. Why am I not surprised. Procrastination is my worst nightmare! I always do it!

So this feature story is about Recycling and Sustainability on the UGA campus. Got any ideas? Any good angles? 'Cause I sure need them.

However, during my brief research on the internet that I've been doing for the past ten minutes I've stumbled upon this interesting little fact...

UGA recycles about 1,000 tons per year in material that could be going to the local landfill. Oh, and that local landfill, the one in Athens, GA... it will reach full capacity in five years at the average rate that it is currently be filled.

Great.

Chi Omega at University of Georgia is having Chi O Casino tonight benefitting the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Go online to www.makeawish.com and donate under Chi Omega-Mu Beta. 

We are trying to raise enough money to grant 3 kids wishes in the Athens area.

The Tree of Life looks like an amazing, well-thought-out movie that makes you ponder about life and the meaning behind it. 

I can't wait to walk out of the theater after seeing it and be blown away by what I experienced.

Apologies

It's been awhile since I have posted and I want to say I am so sorry!! We had Spring Break last week so I was in my own little relaxing world and then on top of that my computer breaks.

Really.

Currently, as I am typing this, there is a beautiful rainbow strip down the center of my screen, and it flickers. An annoying, spastic flicker that's sort of like snow on a TV screen but in rainbow color. Let's just say that I am devoted to my computer so when this happened last week I almost died. Over the weekend I went a total of three times to the Apple store. Three! I mean really?

Well long story short, they still don't know what's wrong with my computer. The warranty has expired, so I'm stuck with my psycho computer until my dad decides what we should do.

Any suggestions?

Yes! I have FINALLY made my decision.

This summer I will be strolling the streets of Verona, Italy. 

Where the star-struck love birds Romeo and Juliet fell in love.
Where cobblestone streets await me to explore.
And where I will eat lots and lots of good, delicious, Italian food.

Oh, I cannot wait.

Maybe I'll have my self a taste of Audrey Hepburn's Roman Holiday, but I guess mine will be called Verona Holiday.

Now, how long until summer?

One of my many now few New Year's Resolutions was to listen to better music. My friends T, K, and A are probably the most up-to-date, finding-the-new-artist, jamming-to-the-coolest music people ever. I always feel like an idiot when I go to them with a "new" song and they've been listening to it for 2 months. So that leads me back to my resolution- I will listen to better music and I will find it before they do.

With that said, I stumbled across these blogs written by a student from the University of Colorado. Let's just say that they are saving my dignity in my New Year's Resolution.
